Here's a little something to kick everyone's spring fever into high gear:
Last year I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this stunning VRBO located in Fountain Run, Kentucky known as The Shady Pine.
Only a quick two hour drive from Louisville, this place is the epitome of comfort and serenity, and I'm not just saying that to make it sound fancy (even though it totally is fancy). With three uniquely themed bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, as well as indoor and outdoor dining areas, there's plenty of space for your friends and family to get some much needed R&R.
Start your day in a rocking chair on the back deck, coffee in hand, surrounded by the trees and animals. During the day, you can do some hiking and various lake centric activities (you have access to your own dock!). There are also a handful of local business that are a must see (Kenny's Farmhouse Cheese and Paradise Point Marketplace).
After a day spent adventuring, winding down at the cabin is a must. Get cozy around the fire pit, or take a dip in the hot tub (or both because why not?).
When you're finally, reluctantly ready to get some sleep, you'll find yourself lying in what I consider to be literally the most comfortable mattress known to man. The owners of this property didn't take any shortcuts when it comes to comfort, I can assure you of that. Each room is full of exquisite little details intended to make guests feel right at home.
